Folks.. I have just fixed the 1st CB.. Took a little working out as there were multiple problems with it both on Transmit and Receive.
Anyway, Im putting the feelers out for broken radios or CBs that you no longer want so I can use them as spares units.
Im also interested in the CB control box from the fairing, an antenna and mount ..
I can tune up a CB if it appears a little deaf but I think we are in the lowest point of the solar cycle at the moment which affects the range of communications... 2013 looks like the next peak..
The Voyagers CBs, though expensive, have little to protect the final stage on the TX circuit from high SWR (Standing wave Ratio)..
If you use your CB, then as per any mobile or home based system, the lower the SWR the better.. Because of the type of plugs and sockets used on the Voyager, its hard to do without having to locate the adapters.. Radio shack have the one, but the reverse one may have to be made.

I have also just received the stereo bluetooth module to try and hook into the CB or intercom circuit.. I had some success with the mono version that worked for the phone.. This new module also copes with A2DP which means that if your phone is an MP3 player too, then you can play back your music and have the phone..
I'll be building this up this week and will report back.. I did try it with my Gen 2 ipod touch and while it adjusted the volume and played and paused the music, it would not change track. This module is also one device hook up at a time..

Cheers all..
Pete

Ladies and Gents. I have managed to locate a few brand spanking new LCDs for the Voyager Radio!
It will involve sending the radio's front panel or the whole radio to me to do as there are many joints to be unsoldered and resoldered. I have one currently in stock and will order a few more just in case.
I also have a small stock of Cassette belts. Of those I have seen so far several have been at the point of fracture as the rubber/neoprene have all but perished. Others have been non existant having crumbled away to nothing.
These spares are very limited supply.. I also have one CB bezel or escutcheon which does NOT include the plastic screen.
The LCD's for the CB are no longer available as new items but if you need one, let me know and I'll see what we can do.

So to give you a run down. Parts in stock now.
Radio LCD
Cassette DOOR (hinge possibly available later)
Cassette belts.
CB Escutcheon
Radio LCD illumination and the LEDs .
Some Radio buttons may be available.

I can fix most faults on both the Radio and the CB and the power amp.
I MAY be able to fix the speed sensor on the clocks.

Cheers folks.. Happy Riding..

That is awesome! I hope you are posting this on the AVA site. I also hope I don't need your services but it is nice to know it is there.

Hi Charlie.. No, mainly because Im not a member of the AVA (Though am considering it) and my previous post in their Sale/Wanted was deemed a Classified Ad and was removed. I was invited to take out an ad in the magazine and that I could request old radios etc in the sale/wanted area..
All pleasant enough but ... Im assuming that most of the AVA readers also read here and Wyzards too so didnt want to replicate all over the place..

Cheers..
Pete
