I will check the garage. I had one on "Cool Vanilla" and bought another. I probably threw it away, because it wasn't perfect and I figured nobody would want it. I will double check and post up on Sunday.

Just had some paint work done to my 88 (fake tank and upper left fairing) found a perfect paint match. It is a Toyota color and I will post the paint code when I get home today. Cant tell the where the touchup was made it is so close.

I appreciate the paint code as I found the lower underneath cowling piece at auction although in a different color than the beige. So the paint code you mentioned would be great to have as I'm looking at getting it painted shortly.

In tearing down the cowling to get a better picture of the damage, I found the lower right side cowling had its mounting holes sheared off so it was just hanging there. Have an email sent off to Carl to see if he has one of these cowling pieces.

That paint code is toy4r4 /39 savannah met for a 2003-2004 toyota. It is a base coat clear coat paint so it will have to be cleared. couldn't tell where the paint was redone and where it wasn't.

Thanks for the update. I found a lower cowl piece that was NOS plus Carl Leo found me one that had the lights in it as per my original. Everything buttoned back up with NOS parts and looks great. No substantial damage from cone, just superficial cracks to 2 fiberglass pieces that I replaced with NOS parts in correct color.

Hey Pete

Sorry I couldn't ride to Ripley with you this year as I had a great time in 2010 but I'm looking at another (4th) spinal surgery where this time they go in front AND back and stabilize the spine from both angles. On top of this, I had several deer jump over on to I-81 South and in order to avoid them in my Audi AWD, I dropped two wheels off the pavement, when it came back on to the highway the car made a 90 degree turn, went airborn and clipped the top of the concrete median barrier.

For some reason, at 68 mph, on a complete frontal crash, the driver's airbag did not deploy while the passenger's did (though thank Goodness that noone was with me at the time), it has sped up the time frame in which the Spine Doc is going to install the erector set into my spine. Plus the car was completely totaled with the front axle laying on the ground. The wrecker had to take it out in pieces.

Audi Corporate in Rochester Hills MI calls me twice per day to check on my condition as I cracked my sternum, broke 5 ribs, and the force of the impact (with a spine that doesn't flex due to hardware installation) went primarily into my hip joints. So its not been much fun lately and Audi is running scared that I'm going to file suit - especially after having the airbags specifically checked during my last visit to Deal Audi in Asheville 2 months ago.

Aside from that, I'm doing well - still teaching, and I hope this finds you doing well.

T
